Magistrate Shaka Kamara of Magistrate Court No.1 in Kenema has committed two accused persons to High Court for trial. Ibrahim Mustapha, a 20-year-old motorbike mechanic and Joseph Boima, an 18-year-old farmer, all residents of Gbeworbu village were charged to court for conspiracy and murder, contrary to law.
According to the prosecution, the two accused persons on Sunday, July 21, 2024, along Lalehun and Bumpeh village, Lower Bambara Chiefdom in Kenema District, conspired with other unknown persons to commit a felony. On the same date and venue, the two accused allegedly killed Mustapha Denis.
In another development, Swaloh Fadiru, a commercial motorbike rider, age 21years, dwelling at Kakajama Section in Kenema and Alhaji Sam, age 18years, of the same address, arraigned before Magistrate Shaka Kamara for conspiracy and larceny, contrary to Sec. 13(a) of the Larceny Act of 1916.
The two accused on Friday, September 6, 2024, at No. 10 Haja Hawa Sama street, Kakajama Section in Kenema, conspired with other unknown persons to commit a felony.
On the same date and place, Swaloh Fadiru and Alhaji Sam, entered in the dwelling house of Hawa Ngobeh and stole one black 45inches plasma TV valued at Two Thousand and Five Hundred New Leones (NLe 2,500/00), one amplifier valued at One Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty New Leones (NLe 1.750/00), and DVD player valued at Five Hundred New Leones (NLe 500/00) all to the total sum of Four Thousand, Seven Hundred and Fifty New Leones (NLe 4,750/00). Property of Hawa Ngobeh. No plea was taken and the two accused were remanded in custody at the Sierra Leone Correctional Centre in Kenema. The case was adjourned to September 19th, 2024, for hearing.
The matters were prosecuted by Police Inspector Alphan Samuel Musa, attached to the Legal and Justice Support Department at the Kenema Police Station.
