Two Accused persons, Fatima Sow of New England, Nyandeyama Section and Abdul Rahman Jalloh, a business man of Burma 3 Section all of Kenema City, on Monday, September 9th, 2024, made their first appearance before Magistrate Braima-Jah of Magistrate Court No. 2 in Kenema concerning the death of one Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh on August 17th, 2024.

The two accused persons were charged to court on two counts: conspiracy and murder.

According to prosecution, the two accused persons on August 17th, 2024, at New England, Nyandeyama Section, Nongowa Chiefdom in Kenema, conspired with other persons unknown to commit felony to wit murder.

On the aforementioned date and place, the second accused, Abdul Rahman Jalloh, murdered Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh. No plea was taken and the two accused persons were remanded at the Sierra Leone Correctional Centre in Kenema.

The case was adjourned to September 16th, 2024.

Inspector Aiah Mafinda Teh is prosecuting the matter and Lawyer Pawusu. I. Bangura is associated with the prosecution team.

The first accused, Fatima Sow, is represented by four lawyers led by Defence Counsel Monya Sheriff whilst the second accused, Abdul Rahman Jalloh, is represented by Defence Counsel Victor. S. S. Ansumana.

Before the adjournment, Magistrate Braima-Jah told the court that all preliminary investigation matters do not take one month in his court and that he is doing judiciary investigation on the matter and not trial.
