Vice President Dr Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh has commended the National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT) for its innovative and efficient approach to public service delivery, urging other state institutions to adopt similar models.
Dr Jalloh made the remarks during a visit to the 2026 Job Fair and Business Exposition organised by the Ministry of Employment, Labour and Social Security at the Miatta Conference Hall.
At the event, NASSIT introduced a fully operational “Pop-up Service Centre,” providing real-time services to the public. The centre offered instant member registration, biometric ID card issuance, access to contribution statements, and support for benefit applications, moving beyond the conventional information desk model.
The Vice President, accompanied by Minister of Labour and Social Security Mohamed Rahman Swarray and NASSIT Director General Mohamed Fuaad Daboh, toured the facility and engaged with its digital systems. He also underwent the process himself, receiving his biometric card and contribution statement on the spot.
Describing efficiency as “the bedrock of public trust,” Dr Jalloh said NASSIT’s ability to deliver immediate services sets a strong benchmark for public institutions.
“What we see here today is a NASSIT that meets the worker wherever they are,” he said. “Such innovation reduces bureaucracy and enables citizens to focus more on contributing to national development.”
Director General Daboh said the Pop-up Service Centre forms part of NASSIT’s 2026 strategy to decentralise services and improve accessibility through technology-driven solutions.
He noted that the initiative underscores the institution’s commitment to a service-oriented approach, ensuring contributors can access essential services with ease.
The Pop-up Service Centre will remain operational throughout the Workers’ Day celebrations, providing continued support to participants at the exposition.
The initiative has been widely welcomed as a significant step towards improving service delivery and strengthening public confidence in government institutions.
