US-based gospel artist Midas is steadily gaining recognition for using music as a powerful medium to spread messages of faith, hope, and spiritual growth. With roots in Sierra Leone and a background in Mass Communication from Fourah Bay College (FBC), Midas is carving a unique path that blends ministry with music.

According to the artist, his journey into gospel music was divinely inspired rather than planned. He explained that he felt led by the Holy Spirit to share the gospel, identifying music as an effective channel to reach people across different backgrounds.

One of his recent songs, “I Will Pray,” was birthed during a personal moment of prayer. Midas noted that the song is intended to encourage believers to remain steadfast while also inspiring those who may not fully embrace prayer to see its value. He stressed that developing a personal relationship with God is essential, regardless of one’s religious background.

“My faith is the foundation of everything I do,” he said, pointing to his earlier release, “Nothing Without You,” as another expression of his spiritual conviction. Through his music, he consistently emphasizes the belief that life without God lacks true meaning. Without Jesus Christ there is a crisis.

Midas credits his early exposure to Sierra Leonean gospel music as a key influence in shaping his faith. He recalled listening to artists such as Vicky Fonana and Milisent Rose, whose songs helped him grow spiritually and understand the importance of a deeper connection with God.

Despite his initial focus on academics and leadership, having served as a Mass Communication President at FBC, Midas described his transition into music ministry as a calling he could not ignore. From singing in church choirs to producing and releasing songs, he views his journey as guided by divine purpose.

Balancing family, work, and ministry remains a priority for the artist, who emphasizes the importance of time management and spiritual discipline. He maintains that placing God first allows other aspects of life to fall into place.

Midas also highlighted the impact his music is already making, noting that listeners have shared testimonies of encouragement and transformation. He believes this reinforces his mission to use music not for personal recognition, but to promote the message of the gospel.

Currently working on new projects, the artist expressed his commitment to expanding his reach and continuing to inspire audiences worldwide. He encouraged people to seek God wholeheartedly, emphasizing that the opportunity to build a relationship with Him should not be delayed.

As his profile continues to rise, Midas remains focused on his core purpose, spreading the gospel through music and encouraging others to strengthen their faith.
