New Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Mr Alpha Sesay

In a recent cabinet shakeup, President Julius Maada Bio has made new appointments, including the appointment of a new Attorney General and Minister of Justice.

A release from State House dated Friday, December 13, 2024, stated the appointments are in consonance with the Constitution of the Sierra Leone Act. No 6 of the 1991 which gives the President the power to make appointments and dismissals.

Mr. Alpha Sesay is the country’s new Attorney-General and Minister of Justice while retired assistant inspector general of police Morie Lengor is the new Minister of Internal Affairs.

Other appointees include Ms Saptieu Saccoh, Deputy Minister of Justice; Emmanuel K. Amara, Chairman of Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC); Ibrahim Jalloh, Resident Minister – North; and Maj. Gen. Christian Fayimba Marah, Commissioner of National Commission for Small Arms.
