Magistrate Shaka Kamara of Magistrate Court No.1 in Kenema has sent to jail one Mohamed Tunkara a Mason of 48 Ngombulango Street in Kenema to Five years (5yrs) imprisonment for Kush.The accused was charged to Court for prohibition of possession and use of drugs contrary to sec.8(a) of the National Drugs control act No.10 of 2008.Mohamed Tunkara on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at Massaquoi Street in Kenema, was found in possession of 20.0 grams of Kush.

He was apprehended by Police Personnel headed by PC 22930 Vandy attached to the Kenema Police Station and reported that on Thursday, July 4, 2024 at Massaquoi Street in Kenema, the latter was found in possession of Thirty-Six (36) wraps of dried leaves suspected to be Kush. The alleged drugs (Kush) were taken to the forensic toxicologist for examination, analysis and report. The result was handed over to the investigation team which proved positive.

At the Magistrate Court in Kenema, the accused pleaded guilty and begged for mercy and was sent to jail for 5yrs. Imprisonment. The matter was prosecuted by Police Inspector, Alphan Samuel Musa, attached to the Legal and Justice Support Department at the Kenema Police Division.
