Magistrate Mustapha Briama-Jah of Magistrate Court No.2 in Kenema has sent to jail one Mustapha Kamara of Hawa Lamin street, Ngombu Layout in Kenema to four years imprisonment for false pretences Contrary to Sec.32(1) of the Larceny Act of 1916.

The Accused on Monday Mach 11,2024 at Holy Trinity Secondary School in Kenema City, with Intent to defraud obtain the Sum of Three Thousand New Leones (NLe 3000/00) from Ada Jestina Yambasu by falsely pretending that you (Accused) have Government Granting Aid knowing same to be false. He pleaded guilty and begged for mercy and was sent to jail at the Sierra Leone Correctional Centre in Kenema for 4yrs. Imprisonment.

Having heard from the Prosecution, the fact of the case and record of the accused and having heard from the accused who pleaded for mercy, Magistrate Brima-Jah did not give an alternate but a custodian Sentence. The Magistrate therefore sent Musa Jayah Kamara to 4yrs. Imprisonment.
