Magistrate Shaka. P. Kamara of Magistrate court no.1 in Kenema has committed to High court Francis Abdulai an 18-year-old unemployed youth of Kenema City for store breaking and larceny contrary to Sec.26(1) of the Larceny Act 1916.
The accused on Sunday, August 11, 2024 along Kaisamba Terrace in Kenema, broke and entered into the store of Samba Jalloh and stole Sixty-three (63) leather belts valued at Six thousand, Six Hundred New Leones (NLe 6,600/00) property of the said Samba Jalloh. The accused, Francis Abdulai on the same date and Venue, broke and entered into the store of Samba Jalloh and stole Twelve leather belts valued at One Thousand, Five Hundred and Sixty New Leones property of Mohamed Saidu Bah, whilst in custody of Samba Jalloh. The accused also stole Eighteen (18) leather belts valued at One Thousand Eight Hundred New Leones (NLe 1,800/00) and four wallets valued at Two Hundred New Leones (NLe 2 00/00) Properties of Brima Barrie whilst in the custody of Samba Jalloh. On the aforementioned date and place, the accused person stole two pairs of ladies’ easy wear valued at Two Hundred New Leones (NLe 2 00/00) property of Mohamed Alie Jalloh whilst in the custody of Samba Jalloh.
In his ruling, Magistrate Kamara, having heard from the Prosecution the fact of the case and record of the accused with sufficient evidences on the matter, he therefore Committed the accused Francis Abdulai to stand trial at the high court.
The matter was prosecuted by Police Inspector, Alphan Samuel Musa attached to the Legal and Justice Support Department at the Kenema Police Station.
