Ibrahim Yalom Sorie, the district relations officer for the National Identification Cards program in Kambia District, has called on citizens in that part of the country to come forward and collect their national ID cards.
In an interview with Expo Times, Mr. Sorie emphasized the importance of the ID cards as a vital right and identity for all citizens.
Speaking during the interview, he reaffirmed their commitment to serving the people of Kambia and ensuring that every eligible citizen has access to their ID card. “It is your right as citizens to have a national identification card,” Mr Kamara stated. “This card is not just a form of identification, but a symbol of belonging and access to essential services.”
He assured the public that the distribution centers are well-equipped to handle requests and encouraged residents to visit their offices to collect their cards. “Our doors are always open to everyone in Kambia. We are here to serve you and ensure no one is left behind,” he added.
The initiative aims to provide every citizen with a reliable means of identification, which is crucial for accessing government services, opening bank accounts, voting, and other essential activities.
Residents of Kambia have been urged to take advantage of the program and spread the word to ensure maximum participation. Local authorities and community leaders have pledged their support in mobilizing citizens to collect their ID cards promptly.
His message reflects the ongoing commitment of the national identification program to strengthen community engagement and uphold the rights of all citizens in Kambia District as the Government of Sierra Leone is ready to enforce mandatory collection of national identification cards all over the country.
