Chief Bobana Kallon of Fulawahun Section in Kenema has recently personally arrested one Osman Augustine Tengbeh of the same community for possession of forty-five (45) wraps of Kush.

The incident unfolded, when Chief Bobana received a report from one of his subjects that one Osman Augustine Tengbeh, a mechanic, has stolen his fowl. Acting swiftly, the chief arrived at the garage where Tengbeh works and coincidentally, Tengbeh, alighted from a commercial motorbike, and without hesitation, Chief Bobana approached the suspect and effected arrest. When the suspect was searched, he was found in possession of 45 parcels of Kush.

Addressing the Chief, the Local Unit Commander (LUC), Kenema Division, CSP Edison Vandi, commended the Local Chief for his timely approach to tackling crime in his constituent. He said it was great to see a chief taking such proactive measures to keep his community safe. CSP Edison Vandi remarked that the communities need more leaders like him who were willing to go above and beyond to protect them.

The Regional Commander, East, Mr Andrew Mustapha Kamara noted that the action of the Chief also highlighted the importance of community policing and the role that citizens can play in assisting law enforcement efforts. He disclosed that by working together with residents and building trust within the community, Chief Bobana has demonstrated the power of collaboration in combating crime. Mr. Kamara emphasized that with leaders like Chief Bobana at the helm of affairs, Fulawahun could be rest assured that their safety was in good hands.

Osman Augustine Tengbeh is in custody and currently helping the police for the theft of a fowl and unlawful possession of drugs.
