E.U. lauds A.U. for historic continental free trade pact, pledges support

European Union (E.U.) Commission has lauded the African Union (A.U.) over the historic March 21 continental trade pact that was signed by over forty countries

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Sierra Leone to the Russia Federation and accredited to Georgia, Ambassador Mohamed Yongawo, on Wednesday, 20th December, 2023, presented Letter of  Credence to the President of Georgia, Her Excellency Salome Zourabichvili.

 

The official ceremony of the presentation was held in the Orbelian Palace in the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi.

 

This forms part of His Excellency President Dr. Julius Maada Bio’s agenda of expanding Sierra Leone’s bilateral relations across the world.

 

It is worth mentioning that in January 2024, Sierra Leone will be officially taking her position as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council in New York.

Meanwhile, in Tbilisi, Ambassador Yongawo also held meetings with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Agriculture and the Head of International Relations at the Ministry of Education.
