E.U. lauds A.U. for historic continental free trade pact, pledges support

SLFA & NSA Heads PIOSED

 

The President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Thomas Daddy Brima, embarked on a significant familiarization on Wednesday, May 2, to the new National Sports Authority (NSA) Executive Director, Dr. Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai, at his office in Freetown. The meeting aimed to forge new strategies to enhance the growth and development of football in Sierra Leone, particularly focusing on the country’s qualification for prestigious international competitions such as the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and other major female continental competitions.

President Brima was accompanied by key officials, including the Acting General Secretary, Mohamed Benson Bawoh, the Director of Competitions, Sorie Ibrahim Sesay, and the Head of Media and Marketing, Ibrahim Kamara.

The meeting was also witnessed by the Deputy Executive Director of NSA, Dr. Abdulrahaman Swarray, and other senior NSA officials.

During the meeting, President Brima congratulated Dr. Abdulai on his appointment and expressed his commitment to collaborating closely to achieve the highest quality of football administration in the country.

In response, Dr. Abdulai reiterated his mandate to uplift sports in Sierra Leone, emphasizing the importance of transparency, professionalism, and positive collaboration between the SLFA and NSA for the advancement of Sierra Leonean football.

The visit signifies a positive step towards strengthening the relationship between the SLFA and NSA, setting a promising path for the future of football in Sierra Leone.
