Sometimes in April , 2025, the Central Base Journalists Sierra Leone (CBJ-SL), a group of journalists from media houses across the country, met with Mr. Edward Marrah, a leading candidate for the Sierra Leone association of Journalists (SLAJ) Secretary General position, on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, in central Freetown, the meeting highlighted strong support for Marrah ahead of the upcoming SLAJ election.
Edward Marrah is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in print and electronic media. As the Proprietor and Managing Editor of informants Newspaper, a respected print outlet, he has earned admiration for his humble leadership and commitment to journalism. Known for his inclusive, transparent, and accountable approach, Marrah is a favorite among colleagues and even rival candidates vying for the same role.
CBJ-SL praised Marrah’s vision to transform SLAJ into a modern, internationally recognized organization.
