Youth Minister Rescues Kush Victims in Central and Susan’s Bay

Minister of Youth Affairs, Mr. Ibrahim Sannoh, On Thursday, June 19, 2025, showcased bold leadership by intervening to aid over 41 victims of the devastating drug Kush in the central and Susan’s Bay communities, these individuals have been admitted to Connaught Hospital, where the Minister is personally funding their medical treatment and daily sustenance.

This action aligns with minister Sannoh’s relentless campaign to tackle Kush abuse among Sierra Leone’s youth. Following their recovery, the Ministry plans to launch certified skills training programs to reintegrate the victims into society, offering sustainable alternatives to drug dependency, these young people deserve a second chance, minister Sannoh declared, words alone aren’t enough we must act decisively.

His intervention radiates hope and accountability, reinforcing the government’s dedication to safeguarding lives and securing a brighter future for Sierra Leone’s youth. As the nation watches at this hour, this effort stands as a beacon of compassion and resolve.
