Vice President Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, who visited a treatment facility at Hastings has cautioned that despite encouraging recovery statistics, Sierra Leoneans must remain vigilant and continue to support the fight against the MPOX outbreak.
He emphasized the need for stronger community outreach and early detection to contain further spread.
“There is still need for vigilant community outreach programs and public awareness efforts to ensure that suspected cases are taken to treatment facilities early,” he stated.
Dr. Jalloh also commended the collective efforts of the Ministry of Health, National Public Health Agency, Ministry of Finance, and international development partners including the World Bank, Gavi, WHO, and WFP.
“Citizens can be sure of quality health care services at these treatment facilities thanks to the collaboration between government and our development partners,” he assured.
