Late Amadu Jorgor Shaw who died on Sunday 24th September, 2023

In the midst of our profound grief, the Shaw Family of 38 Fagbelalo Street Kenema, wishes to express our deepest appreciation for the overwhelming expression of sympathy and support we have received following the sudden loss of our beloved brother, Amadu Jorgor Shaw known within the precinct of Kenema as “Jimmy B”. In the midst of grief, the Shaw family found solace in the compassion and kindness shown by friends and the public at large.

Amadu’s passing has left an irreplaceable void in our lives, but your compassion and kindness have provided us with a glimmer of solace during these trying times. Amadu, known for his unwavering love, touched the lives of innumerable individuals throughout his life. His legacy lives on not only through his family and friends but also through the beautiful recollections we have shared.

Our family would like to advance our heartfelt appreciation to all those who offered condolences, attended the burial ceremony and offered their unwavering support during this difficult period. Our special appreciation goes to the Honourable Vice President Dr Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh who attended the funeral ceremony from the Mosque to the final resting place of our dear brother at the Kissy Road cemetery.  These gestures of sympathy from all of you and the large crowds of sympathisers who attended his funeral have been a source of enormous comfort to us, reminding us that we are not alone in our sorrow.

In the coming months and years, we will cherish the memories we have of Amadu, and we hope to tribute his legacy by continuing his tradition of kindness and community involvement. He would have been humbled by the torrent of love he received, and he leaves behind a lasting bequest of love, kindness, and community spirit.

In closing, we thank each and every one of you who has touched our lives during this challenging time. Your acts of compassion have been a shining light in our darkest hours. While our hearts ache with the loss of our dear brother Amadu, your support has provided some solace and a reminder that love and harmony prevail even in the face of grief.

Amadu Jorgor Shaw’s memory will forever remain a cherished part of our family, community, and his legacy of kindness and love will continue to inspire us all.

Rest in peace, Amadu Jogo Shaw. You will be dearly missed.
