Hi Tech – Festivities and the Rule of Law – It’s another December and yes, we know how things could get here if care is not taken. I however wish to urge and call for responsible festivities. It matters because after December, there is January and the rest of the year. So, as we all try to jolly and rally, let us be reminded that being responsible is a virtue and that we should not have any room for negativities in times like these and beyond.
Again Tech, the Youyi Building Elevator is still not fixed and December is here already. In fact, we are almost in January! What is happening with the Ministry of Works and Public Assets or what is going on with all of the numerous ministries, departments and agencies that are occupying that place? Must we continue to live like this? This country deserves better. The people deserve better to. So, fixing some of these basic things should really not take forever.
On another important note TECH, can compatriots begin to respect the rule of law? We all saw what happened with the attempted coup. It’s a failed one, we know, but anything could have happened. It is however unfathomable why some people will just not follow the rule of law. When the then 9pm curfew was instituted, we saw how some people will blatantly violate it. The same is happening now that the timing has been shifted to 12am. For all we know, these are just not normal times. The sanity of this country should actually be above all else. It is on that note that security personnel should be very rigid in implementing the law. I HOPE!
