Admire Bio and husband in police

As the fight against the deadly drug called Kush intensifies, the Sierra Leone security force has in the early hours of Thursday, April 4, 2024 raided the house of Madam Admire Bio and Husband Dauda Jalloh mile 13 based on an intelligence given to the Sierra Leone Police.

According to the Director of Crimes Service Commissioner Ibrahim Joseph Lahai police have completed their search conducted at the residents, saying after a thorough search in and around the premises there were nothing like drugs discovered but found a registered pistol in their possession and as such both the husband and the wife were taken to Criminals Investigations Department (CID) headquarters in Freetown for further questioning for their alleged involvement in the drugs trade.

The couple is allegedly involved in drug trafficking in Sierra Leone, and the police are investigating these claims. “At their residence, nothing of police interest was discovered.”  Commissioner Lahai said to ascertain the couple’s degree of involvement in the drug trade, the police are still searching for additional evidence. Madam Admire Bio, who is alleged to be a niece of President Bio, and her husband have denied any involvement into drug trade related to kush.

” I am examining their phones and social communications to see if they have any links with any baron within and outside Sierra Leone” Commissioner Lahai assured.

Furthermore, he said Six members of the Sierra Leone Police have been arrested in connection with drugs related cases, saying others are in correctional centers across the country among the officers including Police constable 150208 Ibrahim Kamara who was attached at mile 13, one Police Constable 15576 Fatmata Dumbuya including two military officers, adding any of their officers arrested were thoroughly investigated, dismissed and will serve jail terms while emphasising the seriousness of the situation.

He said that in recent times, two hundred of tramadol cartoons were burnt, pointing out that nine persons were arrested and one search vehicle was apprehended at the Freetown international airport that contained tramadol. He emphasized that no one accused of drugs and its related will be granted bail.  “Ladies and gentlemen Kush fight is not a one-man fight” he arrested while calling on the members of the public to provide requisite information to police officers.
