In line with its strategic vision of ensuring excellence, the NRA is undergoing major reforms aimed at modernizing its operations to increase the effectiveness and efficiency in revenue collection and improve accountability and delivery of services to the tax-paying community and the public. As a result, the Authority is recruiting a suitably qualified and experienced applicant to fill the position of Assistant Director – Logistics & Maintenance, National Revenue Authority.

 

Position:       Assistant Director – Logistics & Maintenance

Report to:     Director of Administration, NRA

 

Responsible for:   All Staff in the Unit

 

Start date:             Effective immediately

Job Purpose: The Assistant Director – Logistics & Maintenance will, under the direct supervision of the Director of Administration, support in providing oversight, advisory and management responsibilities in the Authority’s Logistics & Maintenance Unit.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support in supervising staff in the unit including drivers and office assistants
  • Support in delegating tasks to staff in the unit and monitor daily operation
  • Support in developing and promoting policies that ensure positive interaction between unit staff and other personnel
  • Develop and manage changes to increase efficiency in the Authority
  • Organize the workplace so that the workflow is streamlined
  • Provide appropriate advice on all matters relating to the functions of the unit in the areas of logistics and supply chain, maintenance, assets, inventory and stores and security.
  • Ensure maintenance of all Authority machinery, equipment, and assets
  • Ensure efficient management of fleet and transportations
  • Ensure the development and implementation of polices in the areas of logistics and supply chain, estate, maintenance, assets, inventory and stores and security

  • Ability to delegate and manage tasks to administrative staff and monitor daily operation

  • Knowledge and application of logistics, maintenance, assets, inventory and stores management of large organisation.

 

Qualifications and Work Experience:

  • A minimum of a master’s degree from a recognized institution of higher learning in the field of Public Administration, Business Administration or related disciplines.
  • Three (3) years of experience in administrative functions relating to logistics and supply chain, maintenance, assets, fleet and transportation, inventory and stores and security
