Harbour Police Uncover Suspected Cannabis Cache in Bold Operation

The Harbour Police Division’s operations team, led by Assistant Superintendent Francis M. Tommy, apprehended Mohamed Serry at the Brima Attouga Mini Stadium. The suspect was found with several packages of dried leaves believed to be Cannabis Sativa, marking a significant blow to illegal drug activities.

The raid stemmed from intelligence indicating the stadium and its vicinity were hotspots for drug-related crimes. During a meticulous sweep, police uncovered the contraband hidden in concealed corners of Serry’s makeshift structure, on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, the team escalated their efforts, demolishing the structure to dismantle the operation and deter aspiring drug dealers, particularly as this menace devastates the youth.

The seized leaves are undergoing forensic analysis, with ongoing investigations into unlawful possession and distribution of narcotics, the Harbour Police reiterated their dedication to upholding law and order, urging the public to provide credible tips to combat drug abuse and related crimes in the community.
