IMITATION OF USA 9/11 FAILS
Like a recurring decimal the scare of a national strike keeps bobbing up now and again. It is becoming intractable. But it is not beyond solution. Government seems to be nonplussed over the misdemeanours of one of its coarse foul-mouthed and ill-bred nationals ensconced in Holland. In this regard one is apt to conjecture whether such countries as populous as Nigeria do not have such citizens outside their borders terrorizing their homeland. Why should relatively small Sierra Leone be tormented by a single renegade? For five years the anti-government activities of this demented citizen has been going on untrammelled. It is welcome news however that government is now taking steps to silence him once and for all.
This son of a bitch and his cohorts having tried all sorts of gimmicks to overthrow the incumbent government seems to have run out of ideas. Under these circumstances TIT BITS is hereby offering them tips for success free of charge.
- In the first place your demonstrations should have a face to be recognized and dealt with because even devils have faces.
- Don’t publicize your demonstrations but do them secretly at night when most of the security forces are fast asleep.
- Solicit some funds from the generous Jagaban.
If you do these you will overthrow the government as easy as eating akara.
The fear now on the minds of patriotic citizens is when next another national strike notice will be given that will lead to deaths, injuries, loss of property and production. There are orthodox and unorthodox ways employed by the Israelis, Nigerians and Russians.
WATERLOO L.U.C DESERVES AWARD
If thou doesn’t well shall thou not be praised? Many readers would have read of the achievements of L.U.C Mohamed Sama. The nabbing of 70 treasonable miscreants is the latest to add to his laurels. It seems that Waterloo is the headquarters of hard corps criminal ex-combatants, vagabonds and drug addicts. It is their chosen abiding city.
Scores of parents, guardians and sponsors of these criminals thronged the Waterloo Police Station seeking their release. But the police responded that all of them would be charged to court. TIT BITS is adding here that there should be NO leniency in this matter. People should not encourage their children or words to engage in treasonable practices.
PHARMACY BOARD JOKING?
The Pharmacy Board is well-intentioned in its public notice but whether that intention translates into effective compliance is a 64-million dollar question. This is because all over the place the peddlers of drugs continue to ply their trade regardless. Is it not because of the paucity of pharmacies? Are these peddlers not playing complementary roles?
Can the Pharmacy Board tell us that all those at the Regent Road/Garrison Street axis with portfolio pharmacies have valid licenses?
These lawless peddlers thrive more in remote villages. They keep on beating the system all the time while valuable lives are lost. The Pharmacy Board would do well to recruit whistle blowers. The Borad should cure its own disease.
CELIBACY NOT BIBLICAL
The latest news on the BBC that there are in Switzerland one thousand cases of child abuse by catholic priests is disgusting. Celibacy is artificial. Most Christians in the world are Catholics but they should hang their head in shame. They don’t marry but satisfy their natural sexual desires on boys. Who are they deceiving? Only us not God.
PRESIDENT BIO AND THE ICC
Now is the right time. The International Criminal Court (I.C.C) had written a letter to President Bio for a meeting with him at the United Nations annual meeting in New York, U.S.A. The letter had been described as an invitation by the opposition press while the government described it as a request.
It will be recalled that the head of the I.C.C had served on the Special Court by the United Nations in Sierra Leone. It is not illogical for the duo to discuss ordinary matters of governance as well as the last elections. But to think that a head of state could be arrested at a UN General Assembly meeting is senseless. Lets wait and see.
