The Minister of Trade and Industry together with his deputy minister joined the Petroleum Regulatory Agency on their normal routine to inspects storage facilities at All Petroleum Products ( APP) and Conex Energy Sierra Leone.

The Honorable Minister, Ibrahim Alpha Sesay on behalf of the Government of Sierra Leone and Petroleum Regulatory Agency (PRA) commended the tremendous efforts of All Petroleum Products and Conex Energy Sierra Leone for complementing government key priorities to transform the industry to make it very fair and compelling for potential investors.

The Executive Chairman for Petroleum Regulatory Agency, Mr. Brima Baluma Koroma told the minister and his inspection team that Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) are apparently adhering to government policies that will continue to make win-win approach for all parties in the sector. He noted that he is always seeking the best interest of OMCs while the Agency equally ensures government top priorities are actualized.

The inspection geared to ascertain the availability of storage facilities at various terminals in Freetown and for the Government of Sierra Leone to continue providing enabling environments for potential investors to maximize in the Downstream Petroleum Sector. The inspection of other terminals and their storage facilities would be done in due course.
