Bo District Council Chairman, Victor Korseh Hindowa, joined the distribution of humanitarian relief items to residents of Taninahun Village in Baoma Chiefdom as part of efforts to support families affected by recent flooding on Friday, 24th. July 2026

The relief package, donated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, included bundles of zinc roofing sheets, bags of rice, and vegetable oil to help vulnerable households recover from the impact of the disaster.

The presentation was carried out in collaboration with Honourable Bashiru Sidique, who joined Chairman Hindowa in handing over the donated items to the community. The intervention is aimed at mitigating the effects of flooding by providing both emergency food assistance and roofing materials to affected families.

Speaking during the distribution, Chairman Victor Korseh Hindowa expressed “appreciation to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for its timely humanitarian support and reaffirmed the Bo District Council’s commitment to working with development partners and charitable organizations” to improve the welfare of communities across the district.

Community leaders and beneficiaries welcomed the donation, describing it as a significant contribution towards helping families rebuild their lives and recover from the challenges caused by the floods.
