The Public Sector Reform Unit (PSRU), in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Administration and Political Affairs (MPAPA) and other government stakeholders, today honoured Mr. Matthew Dingie, Financial Secretary at the Ministry of Finance, during the commemoration of World Public Service Day 2026.

Held under the theme, “Transforming Public Institutions: Advancing Innovation, Participation and Inclusion,” the event celebrated outstanding public servants whose dedication and leadership continue to strengthen governance and service delivery across Sierra Leone.

Mr. Dingie was recognized for his exemplary stewardship of the nation’s public finances and his unwavering commitment to accountability, transparency, and fiscal discipline. As Financial Secretary at the Ministry of Finance and the Government’s principal adviser on economic and financial policy, he has played a pivotal role in advancing public financial management reforms and supporting Sierra Leone’s development agenda.

The recognition also highlighted Mr. Dingie’s distinguished career in the Civil Service, spanning more than two decades of exceptional service characterized by professionalism, excellence, and results-driven leadership.

The award underscores the Government of Sierra Leone’s commitment to recognizing and celebrating public servants whose contributions are helping to build innovative, inclusive, and citizen-centered public institutions in line with the aspirations of World Public Service Day 2026.
