The Magistrate Court in Kenema, presided over by Magistrate Hadiru Daboh of Magistrate Court No.1 has committed one Twenty-Two (22) years old Alfred Bio a trader dwelling at Dogo Barracks in Kenema to High Court for Prohibition of Possession and use of Drugs. A Defendant was charged to Court for Prohibition of Possession and use of Drugs Contrary to Section 8(a) of the National Drugs Control Act No.10 of 2008. The charges were read to him by Ibrahim Tomboyeke the clerk of the court. According to court records, a Defendant, Alfred Bio on January 23, 2026 at Capitol in Kenema, was found in possession of Twelve (12) wraps of Kush. No plea was taken and he was committed to High Court for Trial.

In another separate development, Jinnah Mohamed, an unemployed Sierra Leonean, residing at Foyah Street in Kenema City arraigned before Magistrate Brima. S. Samai of Magistrate Court No.2 in Kenema for Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harms Contrary to Section 47 of the Offences against the Persons Act of 1861. The charges were read to him by Emmanuel Cooper the clerk of the Court. According to court records, a Defendant, Jinnah Mohamed on march 29, 2026, at Kpayama Section in Kenema, allegedly assaulted Fatmata Koroma in a manner thereby occasioning her actual bodily harm. He pleaded not guilty of the Offence and the matter was adjourned for further hearing.

The matters were prosecuted by Police Sergeant (Sgt.) David Idriss and Police Constable (PC)19204 Swaray. A. Andrew both attached to the Legal and Justice Support Department at the Kenema Police Division respectively.
