Where youthful voices gather, the rhythm of change is born. At the heart of Kenema’s vibrant youth community, leadership met the raw energy of young people ready to shape their future.

Recognizing that youth engagement is not merely a policy promise but a governing priority, the Minister of Youth Affairs, Ibrahim Sannoh, paid a remarkable visit to the Baghdad Atire Base in Kenema. Far from the usual formal settings, the Minister sat side-by-side with members of the base, engaging them in a candid conversation on a wide range of youth issues, opportunities, and the role young people must play in national development.

The engagement quickly transformed into a lively and meaningful dialogue, as the young people shared their aspirations, challenges, and expectations from government leadership. Minister Sannoh, known for his approachable leadership style, reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to expanding opportunities, strengthening youth empowerment initiatives, and ensuring that the voices of young people remain central to governance.

A memorable moment followed when members of the Baghdad Atire Base officially inducted the Minister as one of their own. The symbolic gesture reflected not only the respect they hold for his leadership, but also the simplicity and humility he carries while serving the nation.

Moments like this prove that true leadership goes beyond offices and ceremonies, it connects directly with the people, listens attentively, and builds trust where it matters most.

Through engagements like this, Minister Ibrahim Sannoh continues to show that youth governance thrives on presence, dialogue, and genuine partnership with the generation that holds Sierra Leone’s future.
