A 26-year-old Ansu Bockarie alias Bobson 5-0, an unemployed Sierra Leonean dwelling in Pendembu Town has been docked at Magistrate Court No.1 Presided over by His Worship, Magistrate Hadiru Daboh in Kenema on February 2, 2026.

A Defendant, Ansu Bockarie alias Bobson 5-0 was arraigned in Court on Five (5) count charges. Count One, Attempted Robbery with Aggravation Contrary to Law. Count two, House Breaking Contrary to Section 27 Subsection 2 of the Larceny Act 1916. Count three, Causing Grevious Bodily Harms with Intent Contrary to Section 18 of the Offences against the Persons Act 1861. Count Four, Wounding with Intent Contrary to Section 18 of the Offences against the Persons Act 1861. Count Five, Wounding Contrary to Section 20 of the Offences against the Persons Act 1861.

According to the Prosecuting Officer, Sgt 10734 David Idriss, the defendant on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at Saint Mary’s Parish mission house, Vaama Section, Pendembu Town, Upper Bambara Chiefdom, Kailahun District in the Eastern Province of Sierra Leone, being Armed with a shovel, attempted to rob Reverend father James Joshua Jamiru. Alias Bobson 5-0 on the same date and place, broke and entered into the dwelling house of Rev. Father James Joshua Jamiru with Intent to commit a felony. He caused Grevious Bodily Harms to Rev. Father Jamiru with intent. Ansu Bockarie on the afformentioned date and Venue, wounded father Jamiru with intent Contrary to Section 18 of the Offences against the Persons Act 1861.

Police report and endorsed medical report of the victim was tendered in court, nine (9) witnesses’ statements were tendered, one old shovel, one old machete, charged statement of the Defendant was also tendered in court. The prosecution relies on Section 112(b) paragraph two (2) of the Criminal Procedure Act (CPA) 1964. No bail was granted to the Defendant and he was remanded at the Sierra Leone Correctional Centre (SLCC) in Kenema. The matter was adjourned to February 10, 2026 for hearing.
