With help from Mobility World Wide, Disables in Sierra Leone get mobility carts to ensure easy movement for them around.  This distribution of mobility carts which started in Kono, was replicated in Kambia, Bombali, Moyamba and Bo. This free distribution is carried out by Mobility Sierra which is headed by Mr. Lamin Mansaray. ” These mobility carts are meant to ensure independence and self- reliance for persons living with disabilities that make them immobile.”

Movements of persons living with disabilities in Sierra Leone is so limited which makes life unbearable for them in their daily activities so Mr. Mansaray who heads Mobility Sierra Leone thought it wise to cushion their plights by partnering with Mobility World Wide to make it possible. There is workshop in his office in Bo that assemble these carts and even repairs them when they get old and tear out. Responding to the gesture, one of the chiefs in whose chiefdom the

donation was made, thanked Mobility Sierra Leone for thinking about ” a vulnerable group that need attention.” In appreciation a beneficiary, John Summaila said he is ” very grateful for the gesture as it is going to make me move freely with little or no help and enhance my privacy.” The distribution continues especially in areas where it is most needed across the country
