At the Magistrate Court Holden in Kenema, a Defendant, Frank Yorpoi of Nyandeyama Section in Kenema has been committed to stand trial at the High Court of Sierra Leone by the Principal Magistrate, His Worship, Magistrate Hadiru Daboh of Magistrate Court No.1 in Kenema. The Defendant was arraigned in Court for Sexual Penetration of a child contrary to section 19 of the Sexual offences Act No.12 of 2012 as repealed and replaced by section 4 (a)(ii) of the Sexual offences (Amendment) Act  No.8 of 2019.

According to police constable, PC 15361 Vonja Thomas, the Defendant on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at Tamba Street in Kenema, engaged in an act of Sexual Penetration with a  Fifteen Years (15yrs.)old child. No plea was taken and he was committed to stand trial at the High Court of Sierra Leone.

In a separate development, Mohamed Senesie of Benduma village, Malegohun Chiefdom, Kenema Judicial District in the Eastern province of Sierra Leone, was Committed to High Court by Her Worship, Magistrate Wilbri Hamida. M. John of Magistrate Court No.2 in Kenema. Mohamed Senesie was charged to Court on the offence of House Breaking and Larceny contrary to section 2, subsection 1 of the Larceny Act of 1916.

According to the Prosecuting Officer, PC 13536 Moseray Sylvester Alfred, a Defendant, Mohamed Senesie, on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Benduma village, Malegohun Chiefdom, Kenema District, broke and entered into a dwelling house of Tamba Amadu Katta and stole fiscal sum of Seventeen Thousand, Five Hundred New [7:59 AM, 12/16/2025] Medman Expo: Leones ( NLe 17,500) property of Tamba Amadu Katta. No plea was taken and he was committed to High Court for Trial.
