A devastating road accident in the community of Gbaima Songa has left five people dead, local authorities have confirmed.

The crash occurred when a vehicle reportedly lost control and veered off the road, violently overturning before coming to a halt. Four of the occupants were killed instantly due to the impact. A fifth victim , a bystander who was struck during the crash, later died from severe injuries despite efforts by emergency responders.

First responders and police personnel who arrived at the scene described it as chaotic and tragic. They noted that none of the deceased carried identification documents, making it challenging to immediately notify their families.

Law enforcement officials have since cordoned off the crash site and launched a full investigation to determine the cause of the accident. Officers continue to examine the scene, collect evidence, and gather eyewitness statements as part of their ongoing inquiry.

Authorities are urging anyone who may have information about the victims or the events leading to the crash to contact the nearest police station.
