Her Worship, Magistrate Wilbri Hamida. M. John of Magistrate Court No.2 in Kenema.
Francis Saidu Foday, a resident of 17 Abu Road in Kenema, has been sentenced to twenty-four (24) months imprisonment by Her Worship magistrate Wilbri Hamida M. John of magistrate Court No. 2 in Kenema for the offence of larceny, contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916.
According to the facts presented in court, on 3rd November 2025, at No. 4 Kenkeh Street in Kenema, the accused stole, one Tecno Spark 5 Android mobile phone valued at NLe 1,500, fifty United States dollars, equivalent to NLe 1,185, a cash amount of NLe 3,000,
All properties of Jitta Mamiko Senesie, amounting to a total value of NLe 5,685, on the same date and at the same location, Francis Saidu Foday also stole one Infinix Smart 8 android mobile phone valued at NLe 1,500, the property of Idrisa Kamara, he pleaded guilty to both counts and was subsequently sentenced to 24 months imprisonment at the Sierra Leone correctional Centre (SLCC) in Kenema.
In a separate matter, Magistrate Hamida M. John also convicted Mahmoud Sheriff for the offence of domestic violence, contrary to Section 2(1) of the domestic violence Act No. 20 of 2007, the court heard that on 7th November 2025, at Geekorhun village in the lower Bambara chiefdom,
Kenema judicial district, the accused unlawfully induced fear in Aminata Sheriff by threatening to kill her, an act committed within a domestic relationship he pleaded guilty and asked for forgiveness, Both matters were prosecuted by police inspector Aiah Mafinda Teh and PC 13492 Tonya Musa, attached to the legal and justice support department at the Kenema Police Station.
