In every society, children are considered the future. They are meant to grow up in a world that nurtures them, protects them, and gives them the tools to thrive. But today, in this country, that promise is slipping away.

Broad daylight used to mean safety. It used to mean that children could walk to school, play with friends, or run errands without fear. Now, broad daylight means nothing, not when children are disappearing in plain sight. The news is filled with the faces of missing boys and girls. Some are never found. Others are discovered too late. And many cases go unanswered.

It’s not just about isolated crimes, it’s about what these patterns say about the direction we’re heading as a nation. When kidnappers, traffickers, and criminals act so boldly, in broad daylight, it raises a chilling question: where is the protection? Where is the justice? And most importantly, what message are we sending to our children about their worth and safety?

The silence and inaction of those cases only make it worse. Where are the systems meant to protect these kids? Where is the national outrage? Where are the consequences for those who harm the innocent?

The future of this country is tied to the safety and well-being of its children. If we cannot guarantee them protection, we cannot talk about development, progress, or hope. We are failing them, not just by what we do, but by what we refuse to do.

Beyond physical safety, many children today grow up in an environment clouded by fear, economic uncertainty, and broken systems. We must raise our voices. We must demand better policies, stronger protections, and real justice. Our children deserve more than fear. They deserve freedom, safety, and a future.

If we don’t act now, we risk raising a generation that knows nothing but trauma, and a nation that loses its soul in the process.
