To enhance the strategic dissemination of information, Press Attachés from various foreign missions have generously donated a total of one hundred thousand Leones (or one hundred million old notes) to the Unity Newspaper.
The cash presentation was made by Cyril Banes and Mohamed Lamin Massaquoi on behalf of all the Attachés. Key figures in attendance included National Chairman Dr. Prince Alex Harding, Secretary General Umaru Napoleon Koroma, and Press Secretary Yusuf Keketorma Sandy, among others. These high-profile government officials expressed their gratitude for the Attachés’ contribution.
This is not the first act of generosity from the Attachés. Previously, they made a similar donation to bloggers through the former Minister of Information and Communication, Mohamed Rahman Swarray, aimed at enhancing media coverage of government activities.
Additionally, following a burglary at the SLAJ office, the Press Attachés took action on July 13, 2022, by donating a 55-inch Smart Plasma TV to help replace some of the stolen items. This donation was presented by Fetus Lahai and Ishmael Bayoh on behalf of the Attachés.
The Attachés remain committed to supporting the efforts of President Julius Maada Bio and the SLPP Government at all levels of development, demonstrating their dedication to fostering a vibrant information landscape and supporting the media.
