The Director of Public Sector Reform Unit (PSRU), Mr. Sulaiman Phoray-Musa and the Chairman of the Public Service Commission (PSC), Mr. Kalilu O. Bah attended this years Digital Government African Summit hosted in Lusaka, Zambia from 2nd–4th October 2024.

The 2024 Digital Government Africa Summit is organized under the patronage and with the Cabinet approval of the Government of the Republic of Zambia.

The aim of the conference is to accelerate the digitization of government operations that will ensure reliable service provision as part of the overall national economic transformation. Electronic-participation of citizens, digital identity, authentication and the development of the digital government infrastructure are key pillars of electronic government.

The conference is organized to bring African governments together to discuss how they can accelerate the digital transformation of the public service which according to the organisers is an essential gathering for likeminded counterparts, including technoligsts and the industry investors to engage in frank and fruitful deliberations with each other.

The Digital Government Summit is the critical forum to support African Governments in preparation for the implementation of digital systems and emerging technologies that is rapidly changing the world.

The Director will participate in a panel discussion titled: Progress in Implementing Technology for E-Government Capacity Building.
