ECSL Board Holds Private Meeting with Western Region Staff

The Board of commissioners of the electoral commission for Sierra Leone (ECSL) held a closed-door meeting with staff from the western region on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at the commission’s conference room in Tower Hill, Freetown, according to a social media update from the ECSL communications unit, the meeting aimed to assess progress on ongoing electoral initiatives and foster internal dialogue with regional staff.
Executive Secretary William Addo Davies opened the session with a review of recent engagements across Kenema, Bo, Makeni, and Port Loko. He also highlighted key recommendations from the Tripartite committee as part of ongoing electoral reforms, western region commissioner Zainab Umu Moseray, who hosted the gathering, formally welcomed the Board members to the region.
Addressing the staff, ECSL chairman and Chief Electoral commissioner Mohamed Kenewui Konneh announced that staff performance evaluations have concluded, and the commission is now awaiting the final report from the public service reform Unit, the meeting provided an opportunity for western region staff to express their views and contribute to discussions on improving internal processes, the ECSL also announced that a broader stakeholder engagement session for the Western Area will take place on Thursday, May 29, 2025.
