Minister of Youth Affairs, Hon. Ibrahim Sannoh, Wednesday, June 18, 2025, urged eligible young Sierra Leoneans to embrace the UGO Fellowship Program 2025, a key initiative in his ongoing quest to provide meaningful opportunities for youth empowerment and global exposure.
Eligibility requires applicants to be Sierra Leonean citizens aged 18 to 32, enrolled in a Sustainability or Green Economy-related course for the 2025 academic year, and achieving at least a 65% average in their most recent results. Candidates must come from a previously disadvantaged background (verified by an affidavit), maintain a clean criminal record, and be willing to travel locally and internationally.
Applications must be submitted as a single PDF, including: a one-page motivational letter, a certified National ID (not older than three months), the latest academic transcript, an affidavit confirming disadvantaged status, three reference letters, a concise CV (maximum two pages), police clearance or application proof, and a high-resolution passport photo (head and shoulders).
Hon. Sannoh reaffirms that such programs underscore the Ministry’s unwavering commitment to enhancing the skills of young Sierra Leoneans, preparing them to lead in sustainability, innovation, and development across the continent.
