Police attached at Harbour community at the east end of Freetown on Friday, March 25th, 2024, arrested 38-year-old Juliet Kamara, the wife Bigitel who is currently in remand for selling the killer drug in town, Kush.

According to the media team of the Harbour police division, Abdul Kamara alias Bigitel of Moyiba community in the east end of Freetown is a “stupendously wealthy and notorious drug lord” who was nabbed by police in a crackdown raid on drug dealers countrywide, disclosing that huge quantity of illicit drugs was seized from her residence of Juliet Kamara.

Kamara is said to be operating a popular nightclub with three swimming pools, a restaurant, guest houses, and ghettos in a large and well-fortified estate. The police informed that Juliet Kamara and two of her sales agents, Mariatu Koroma and Fatmata Bangura, camouflaged in Islamic paraphernalia, were nabbed at their homes after intelligence was gathered about their involvement in an organized criminal drug syndicate.

Abdul Kamara alias Bigitel is said to be on remand at the Pademba Road Correctional Centre for a series of drug-related offenses.

“There is no sacred cow in the fight against drug abuse, particularly ‘Kush’. No stone will be left unturned”, promised the Local Unite Commander of Harbour police division, CSP Emmanuel Kpulun who led the team of police officers.

Similarly, police in Aberdeen, West Freetown, have launched operation ‘Kush is not a food’ aimed at eradicating the deadly substance.

During the launch, police raided Aces and Tambacular Wharf where Alpha Sesay of former Aces Night club was arrested with 68 wraps of dried leaves suspected to be Kush without lawful authority and Darlington Smith of 5 Alforsane Lane Porter was arrested with one black plastic of dried leaves suspected to Cannabis Sativa without lawful authority. Both suspects are helping the police with the investigation.

The Local Unit Commander at Aberdeen, ACP Dennis Musa Taylor has called on the public and community dwellers to assist the police by providing requisite information.
