As the fight against drugs mainly Kush intensifies in Sierra Leone, an alleged female drug dealer identified as Catherine Bamba of Gerihun Road, in Bo Town, southern Sierra Leone, is reported to have abandoned her residence after receiving information relating to a police search at her house.
In a phone interview with Expo Times Newspaper, Police Constable 19138 Alhaji Osman Mansaray, the head of police media in the southern region, said the raid operation was led by Regional Police Commander Brima Kanneh, noting police were able to discover huge quantum of illicit substances believed to be Kush. “The focus of the operation was the residence of one Madam Catherine Bamba, a notorious female drug dealer” he said, adding that, in a bid to escape capture, the drug dealer hastily packed her belongings and fled, abandoning her residence.
According to Mansaray, upon police arrival at the scene, a huge quantity of Kush, a valid driver’s license, and a passport were discovered.
Police constable Mansaray said police in Bo are determined to crackdown drug dealers and suppliers in the region, while assuring to protect the community from the harmful effects of dangerous drugs.
