Sierra Leone’s Vice President, Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh has said that strengthening security cooperation between Sierra Leone and Liberia remains essential for both countries, emphasizing that the partnership should continue to guide how the two neighbours respond to shared challenges.

He delivered the message during a courtesy call from Liberia’s Inspector General of Police, Hon. Gregory O. W. Coleman, who met him at his Tower Hill office on Tuesday, 15 November 2025, as part of a high-level visit to Freetown.

The Vice President reflected on the deep cultural and historical links between the two states, describing them as close partners whose people have long relied on each other. “We share a great deal, and when we work in step, we deliver better outcomes for our people,” he said.

As Chairman of the Police Council, he noted that these ties form a solid foundation for tackling cross-border crime, improving coordination between forces, and protecting communities along both sides of the Mano River.

The Liberian Inspector General of Police, Coleman, thanked the Vice President for the warm welcome and restated Liberia’s determination to deepen joint security efforts. The meeting ended with VP Juldeh Jalloh conveying President Julius Maada Bio’s greetings to President Joseph Nyuma Boakai and a call for continued unity and cooperation between the two nations.
