A 22-year-old driver residing at C-Curve in Kenema, was sentenced to six months imprisonment by Magistrate Hadiru Daboh at Kenema Magistrate Court No. 1. Kamara was convicted of larceny under Section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916.

On July 8, 2025, according to court records, Kamara stole an iPhone smartwatch valued at 1,700 New Leones (NLe) and 1,500 NLe in cash, totaling 3,200 NLe, from Samba Koroma along Blama Road in Kenema City. Kamara pleaded guilty and sought leniency, but the court imposed a six-month sentence at the Sierra Leone Correctional Service (SLCS) in Kenema. In a separate case, 24-year-old Mohamed Kanneh, a resident of Massahun village in Kenema District, was arraigned before Magistrate Wilbri Hamida M. John at Kenema Magistrate Court No. 2 on July 14, 2025. Kanneh faced charges of larceny under Section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916.

Court documents state that Kanneh stole cocoa pods valued at 200 NLe from Bockarie Momoh in Bevehun village bush, Nongowa Chiefdom, Kenema Judicial District, Eastern Province of Sierra Leone. Kanneh pleaded guilty and requested mercy. Magistrate Wilbri Hamida M. John sentenced him to four months imprisonment at the SLCS in Kenema. Both cases were prosecuted by officers of the Sierra Leone Police. Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sulaiman Kamara Esq. prosecuted the case against Mohamed Kamara, while Police Inspector Aiah Mafinda Teh handled the prosecution of Mohamed Kanneh.
