For Mariama S Kanu, giving back to society has always been a dream come true and true to her words, she has succeeded to look after fifty (50) school pupils in Port Loko district, northern Sierra Leone.
Speaking to Expo Times, she explained how her desire to support kids had always been with her since she was a teenager. ‘’This is something I have developed over the years. I have a mission of making sure that I act as an example to the younger ones.’’

It is on that note that Mariama, through the help of friends and family was able to accomplish a gesture that many now describe as laudable. With the project named ‘Love Project,’ Mariama and team have been able to reach out to a good number of kids in Port Loko and her works could now speak volume.
Parents and guardians have expressed delight, whiles showering praises on Mariama and team and further called on other well-meaning Sierra Leoneans to emulate the good example of Mariam.

‘’We are very pleased that a young lady like this is able and willing to help in educating our kids. We are therefore very grateful for her kind consideration,’’ a school teacher in Port Loko remarked, after her four-year-old son was accorded the privilege to be one of the beneficiaries.
