Had a mind research one morning, thinking of all the preparations and celebrations lined up for the festive season, what we will do and who we will do it with. But again, I thought of how many people (especially the young ones) will see this season just like the others that have past so many years ago, that they won’t just take it as a do or die situation that they are ready to do anything and everything just to prove to society how well they spent the holidays but rather take the time to reflect on how well or how bad they have spent the past years and how they can readjust and make things right or how they could put effort to the better they have done and make it the best in the coming years. How could they have the courage to let go of all the things that hurt them or degraded them and try to be a better version of themselves? How many will take this life time opportunity to make things right for themselves, do what we have to do in so many aspect of our lives, in our spiritual lives, our love relationships, family, friends or our colleagues at work, to think whatever it is that is missing, what we are not doing right that we ought to do. How many will take this opportunity to set our short and long term goals for the coming year, what we want to achieve in the different sector of our lives, how many will see this as a chance to think of what we want and how we plan to make it work by all possible means as if our lives depends on it.

How many will see it as an expiring date of all the grudges and malice we have held on to for so long, and it’s time to let them go, forgive, and take the bold step to move on. How many will take this season as a decision-making season, so that no one or anything will get in their way of finding their purposes and start working on them. How many will not see this season just like the others to do the usual things, party, merry, and jingle all the bells around, but see it as an opportunity to do the unusual things, the unimaginable things, those things that will turn our lives on a positive angle. How many will take this time to find that which we are made for?

As the time draws nearer, let’s do it for ourselves, let’s think of ourselves and work on ourselves for all the reasons above. Let’s focus on us to make things right for the coming year, chasing the right things at the right time while making a better version of ourselves, because success is never a destination but a lifetime journey.

Merry Christmas and a meaningful 2026
