In pursuit of this objective, the DGs of National Statistics Offices in ECOWAS Member States and the Managers of HISWA and HISWACA are converging in Cotonou, Benin, from 25th to 29th March 2024. During this annual meeting, the ECOWAS Commission will present for validation the Methodological Guides on HCPI and harmonization of National Accounts according to SNC2008, which were developed by the ECOWAS Commission, for validation.
In addition, the proposals of the Project Logo that the Member states have developed will be presented to the DGs for final approval.
The beneficiary countries and the ECOWAS Commission will deliberate on the technical, fiduciary, and managerial facets of the HISWACA project after the two Methodological Guides have been validated. This exchange of knowledge will assist the HISWACA beneficiary nations in deriving the most valuable insights for the effective implementation of this initiative
