The Women’s Council of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) in the United Kingdom and Ireland has commended Vice President Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh for honoring a financial commitment made during his recent visit to the diaspora branch in his role as Deputy Leader of the party.

Leaders of the council described the support as a strong demonstration of the Vice President’s continued engagement with SLPP structures abroad and his commitment to empowering women within the party.

According to Jennifer Tengbe, Women’s Leader, and Theresa Boima, Vice Chair of the SLPP UK & Ireland branch, the contribution will significantly strengthen the council’s activities and outreach efforts.

In a message of appreciation issued after the funds were received, Ms. Tengbe confirmed that the council had received £5,000 (NLe 160,000) through the Sierra Leone High Commission, fulfilling the pledge made by the vice president.

We are deeply grateful to our deputy leader, vice President Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, and to our leader, His Excellency president Julius Maada Bio, for their unwavering support, she said.

Ms. Boima echoed the sentiments, describing the Vice President’s gesture as a reflection of his genuine concern for the welfare and growth of the Women’s Council, and noting that both his visit and the financial support were timely and highly appreciated.

Speaking at the gathering, Vice President Juldeh Jalloh praised the dedication and work of the Women’s Council and reminded members of President Julius Maada Bio’s message that the strength of the SLPP lies in unity, collective effort, and delivering results together as one family.
