A community- based organisation called “Seidu Town Group Organisation” (STGO) in Sandor Chiefdom and beyond comprises of sons and daughters of Kono District has offered free medical screening and treatment to Constituents on critical issues that affect the well-being of people in the Nimikoro, Sandor Chiefdom and beyond.
This opportunity serves to help improve the health sector in the country The free medical support is one among many other annual activities undertaken by the organisation and supported by its members and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the (STGO), Mohamed Coly AKA Pa Cole whose unwavering support has ensured the successful execution of the program and all other activities.
However, one of the most recent and successful developments demonstrated by the organisation was the “Pa Cole Football Tournament” a widely celebrated sporting events that brings together young talents in Kono district as just concluded its “Annual General Meeting” AGM in Makeni city focuses on improving the lives and well-being of people, especially youths within communities.
Most recently, the organisation has also played a crucial role in supporting education within the district communities by preparing pupils for public examinations including the provision of seating accommodations for schools across Nimikoro, Sandor and Kamara Chiefdoms respectively.
Additionally, the organisation has supported teachers who are not on government payroll with finances and learning materials. It further recognised the importance attached to grassroots initiatives be in transforming lives and it continued dedication to healthcare, education and youth empowerment remains an inspiration to others.
