The Sierra Leone Water Company (SALWACO) has been awarded by the Right to Access Information Commission (RAIC) for proactively disclosing information. The award was presented during a dinner and awards ceremony organized by RAIC in commemorating its 10th anniversary.
SALWACO has widely been commended for its position in disclosing information. A number of other Ministries, Departments, Agencies, Councils, Sectors and Individuals were awarded & recognized during the night.
Under the leadership of Ing. George Lamin Vandi as Managing Director and Apostle Dr. Albert Harrisson Harvey as Deputy Managing Director, SALWACO has been making the news for many positive reasons, much to the admiration of all and sundry. Securing an award for publicly disclosing information now serves as a justification to some of those laurels.
The award is also a testament to the commitments of all SALWACO units/departments in making sure that adhering to the call on public disclosure of information is treated with utmost significance.
SALWACO’s Director of Communication, Gender and Outreach, Mary Mansaray Ngegba received the SALWACO award on behalf of management. She was accompanied by the institution’s Senior Communications Officer, Sheku Putka Kamara.
