AUDIT SERVICE REGULATIONS NOW IN FORCE

The Acting Auditor-General wishes to inform the general public that the
Audit Service Regulations 2024 which was laid in Parliament on Thursday, 13th March 2025, has now matured into law.
This statutory instrument seeks to strengthen the governance and operational framework of the Audit Service Sierra Leone (ASSL).
Amongst other things, the Audit Service Regulations 2024 provide procedural clarity on the execution of the Auditor-General’s powers and responsibilities, as provided under the Audit Service Act, 2014 (as amended in 2023), including how Disallowance and Surcharge decisions are administered, and the budgetary approval procedure for the ASSL.
