His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio will kickstart a 5-day State Visit to the People‘s Republic of China on the invitation of the Chinnese President, Xi Jinping.
The visit, scheduled to commence on February 27th to March 02nd, 2024, is President Bio’s second State Visit to China, marking both countries’ commitment to brotherly partnership and shared objectives.
During the visit, His Excellency President Bio will meet with President Xi Jinping for bilateral discussions and participate in a Sierra Leone-focused Investment Roundtable. He will also meet with key investors and investor groupings and visit key industrial sites in the country.
China and Sierra Leone enjoy a long history of friendship, and in recent years, the two countries have continuously strengthened mutually beneficial partnerships.
President Bio’s visit will, therefore, further strengthen the bond of friendship between both countries as the President seeks sustainable and strategic partnerships for the Government’s BIG 5 Priority Development Agenda.
