The Harbour police division operations Team, under the leadership of assistant superintendent (ASP) Francis M. Tommy, apprehended Abdulai Conteh at Marshall Street for the unlawful possession of dried leaves suspected to be Kush, the arrest took place during a routine security patrol within the division’s jurisdiction.
Conteh, a 26-year-old resident of No. 16 Upper Bombay Street, Freetown, drew suspicion due to his movements, prompting a search that uncovered the substance, the greenish dried leaves, believed to be Kush a synthetic drug raising alarm nationwide were seized as evidence, the suspect and the exhibit were immediately taken into custody, with the substance slated for forensic analysis to confirm its composition.
ASP Tommy emphasized that this operation is part of an ongoing crackdown on drug trafficking, lawlessness, and organized crime, the Harbour police division remains committed to curbing illegal drugs and safeguarding public safety, he affirmed, the police urge the public to share timely information to bolster community security.
