Attention: Referees Committee

Dear Sir,

Petition against Referee Foday Momoh

I write to draw your attention to the appointment of a particular referee for our crucial encounter against East End Lions Football Club scheduled for Sunday, 12 April 2026.

The above-named referee officiated as the center referee in our Match Week 22 fixture against Kamboi Eagles Football Club in Kenema City. During that match, he made several decisions that blatantly went against us. We strongly believe that his actions were calculated and intended to hinder our progress made in the Leone Rock Premier League 2025/2026 season.

Please take notice that it is unprecedented and unacceptable for a single referee to officiate two of our last three consecutive games (Match Week 22 and Match Week 24). This is a calculated attempt to undermine the integrity of the game when the league has several other referees that can be intermittently assigned to matches.

Also take notice that we are firmly against his appointment, as there are several instances on the international stage that teams have petitioned referees and those referees were reassigned. Therefore, we are against the appointment of this particular referee and request a change of the our Match Week 24.

We view this appointment as unfair and potentially prejudicial, raising serious concerns about the integrity and fairness of the fixture.

Furthermore, it has been reported to us that the referee has made troubling statements to individuals around him, allegedly saying: “Na me get dem game back, ar dae go kill dem.” Such remarks, if true, are deeply concerning and undermine confidence in his impartiality and objectivity.

We also wish to remind you of the first-round fixture of this same encounter, where Referee Alhaji Musa Kabia made controversial decisions that deprived us of a legitimate goal and was subsequently suspended for three months. We fear that this current appointment may lead to a repeat of such an unfortunate situation.

In light of the above, we respectfully request that a different referee be appointed for this important match. We strongly believe that all matches should be conducted in the spirit of fair play, integrity, and transparency.

We trust your esteemed institution will take prompt and appropriate action to ensure fairness prevail.

Thank you in advance for your consideration.

Yours faithfully,
Mohamed Jusu Tarawally
